In this exercise we were introduced to Han. Han sufferes from a partial paralisis of his body. The goal of the class was to give back Han’s independence. My starting point was his bag. He is only able to use messenger bags which he can put using only one arm, as the other is completely paralized. My goal was to enable him to cary a backpack again, or at least enable him to carry more using both his shoulders. The result is a hybrid between both a messenger bag and a backpack. This bag can be put on using only one arm yet still distributes the weigth over the shoulders and back equally like a backpack would do.
